Last DVD/Movie you bought or watched?
Re: Last DVD/Movie you bought or watched?
Well I did my usual Saturday Movie Day that I tend to do...tend to go to a cinema and catch 3 or 4 movies (depending on whats out)
Movies in a cinema
The Girl Who Played With Fire - Directed by the Brother of our very own favorite Director Tomas Alfredson, his brother Daniel Alfredson took the reigns...and in my opinion delivered a near equal follow up to the first...granted I have not read Steig Larson's books so I can't compare to the books...but I am enjoying the movies thus far. I think its as good if not equal to the first film
I'm Still Here - Has to be one of the boldest jokes on an audience I've seen, really all that needs to be said
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps - Solid Follow up...although the sappy conclusion is completely out of place and should be there.
DVD Buys
Daria: The Complete Series
The Simpsons Season 13
Pier Paolo Pasolini's Salo - Its finnaly been re-released in Australia...after its 10 year re-ban....So I figured I'd pick it up before out Classification Board cheapens out again and bans it again

Piranha 3D... in 2D. My most anticipated movie it was, for this year, and it did not disappoint me in terms of blood and boobs, but incredible amount of scenes featured in the script and trailers were cut out. 70 minutes plus credits isn't enough for this camp glory. Waiting for the unrated Blu-Ray.
And we danced, on the brink of an unknown future, to an echo from a vanished past.

Big Bang Love Juvenile - I think from memory I read somewhere that Takashi Miike has claimed this to be his personal favorite and masterpiece of all the films he has made. While I can't necesarily agree with that (my favorite Miike work is still to this day Audition), I will say it is one of his finer works I've seen and it does sit highly for me as one of the better works he has done.

My most recent theater experience was Let Me In.
I watched the 1932 I am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang starring Paul Muni yesterday with a close friend of mine. It was an excellent film! Very well made with a tough, tragic story.
The last DVD I bought was the 1932 Vampyr which I'll be enjoying this evening.
