Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban -- Easily the best of the Potter films. Also, amazing soundtrack. One of John William's finest.

Godzilla (1954) -- Been in a bit of a Godzilla mood lately so I went back to the classic 1954 film. As wonderful and poignant as it ever was. Seriously, it really is a sad cautionary tale of man's own hubris.

Muriel's Wedding -- One of my favorite Australian films of all time. Hilarious, at times oppressively sad, shabby but oddly uplifting come the end. Ridley Scott called it the film he would bury in a time capsule. The man clearly has good taste. Also, I fully admit to loving that ABBA soundtrack without any sort of shame. :D

YouTube has great collections of Poirot, Marple. and Nero Wolfe. Free. An art deco romp among cars, planes, yachts, and architecture. :o

Yesterday I watched Unleashed again. I believe it's called Danny the Dog in the colonies. ;)

I'm back to writing again...I missed it and decided to set up a new blog and start fresh.

https://thelongtake861.blogspot.com/202 ... on-as.html

So I wrote about Gummo...which was the last movie I watched so it fits the bill of this post. I love this film. I know why many people would hate it...but I've always loved it and have always seen something in it. And so I finally decided to try writing about it.

Very interesting, slow horror burn from Sweden. Was surprised to see a somewhat older Lacke (Peter Carlberg) in it!

hey, it's a_c_l long time no "see." By the way, the tagline is hilarious.
