Re: What are you listening to?

I've had my iPhone on Shuffle all day. What I can recall hearing (in no particular order):

Silver Future - Monster Magnet
Nobody Home - Pink Floyd
When The Lights Go Down - Triumph
Here Is The News - Electric Light Orchestra
Good Morning Little School Girl - Junior Wells' Chicago Blues Band
Atomic Punk - Van Halen
The Ace of Swords - The Alan Parsons Project

And right now:
Jumping Someone Else's Train - The Cure

Hmm... only one thing even close to metal in there. And all but one over 10 years old. Maybe I'll have to tweak my play list. I wish the iTunes shuffle routine would weight its randomness by a track's rating.
...the story derives a lot of its appeal from its sense of despair and a darkness in which the love of Eli and Oskar seems to shine with a strange and disturbing light.

Day off work today, which is nice!

So listening to Beastie Boys - Ill Communication (Remastered Edition). Contributing to MCA's medical bills.

Anaal Nathrakh - "Lama Sabachtani"

I hereby declare this song the official Zombie Håkan anthem!
Att fly är livet, att dröja döden.

Do not ask why; ask why not.

If you think that was intense, you should once listen to their recent album... Anaal Nathrakh are not determined one of the most violent bands in the world for no reason :D .

They're from Birmingham btw., as are their grindpunk counterpart Napalm Death.
Att fly är livet, att dröja döden.

Do not ask why; ask why not.

I went through a grindcore phase in the late 80's and early 90's - they all came from Birmingham, Naplam Death, Carcass, Godflesh - must have been something in the water.

Happy days... :D

It's the dead of the night and I'm listening to:

Sólstafir - "Köld"

And, corresponding:

Sólstafir - "Love is the Devil (and I am in Love)"
Att fly är livet, att dröja döden.

Do not ask why; ask why not.

gareth1971, you listen to Beastie Boys, and your ava is from David Lynch's Dumbland? That's all kinds of cool!*

Suppressing shame for the moment, I am listening to: "Anniemal" by Annie. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNCDdmBrMR4) I'm going through a serious Euro dance/pop phase.

* according to me
