What are you listening to?

The [youthful] string section is amazing.

Swe-Danes: Svend Asmussen, Ulrik Neumann and Alice Babs.
But from the beginning Eli was just Eli. Nothing. Anything. And he is still a mystery to me. John Ajvide Lindqvist

Welcome 2 America ~ Prince
Turns out it's time for a new Prince album. Who knew? Apparently nobody.

See if you remember these lyrics.
I guess I should have known
from the way she parked her car sideways
that it wouldn't last
Seems that I was busy doing something close to nothing
But different than the day before
That's when I saw her, Ooh, I saw her
She walked in through the out door, out door
Dearly beloved
We are gathered here today
To get through this thing called life
Let's go crazy
Let's get nuts
Let's look for the purple banana
'Til they put us in the truck, let's go!
[I've always found that last one hard to get right. I hear the word "manatee" , not "banana", and have to sit with the lyrics in front of me to get it right.]

This one.
This song is in LtROI (the novel).
The picture shows Michael B Tretow, the engineer behind ABBA - and this tune as well.

“For drama to deepen, we must see the loneliness of the monster and the cunning of the innocent.”

Re: What are you listening to?
I haven't posted in this thread before since I'm not a person who usually listens to music with lyrics. When I want something to listen to in my free time I normally put on a video game soundtrack instead.
However, when I listened to some of this year's Sommarprat, I was reminded of a couple of songs I'd barely been exposed to since I heard them playing on the radio when I was a wee lad and I realized that if I have a taste in "normal" music, this would be it. Not that she or any of the songs below are obscure by any means, of course; what I mean is simply that I've been living under a rock and that this is not the kind of thing I paid any attention to or actively sought out until recently.
(This is my long-winded way of saying "I'm in a Laleh phase at the moment".)
The last one is a cover of a (much calmer) song by Eva Dahlgren and originates from the 2011 season of Så mycket bättre, a show where artists create new interpretations of each other's songs. Here is a video of the original cover performance from the show.

De höll om varandra i tystnad. Oskar blundade och visste: detta var det största. Ljuset från lyktan i portvalvet trängde svagt in genom hans slutna ögonlock, la en hinna av rött för hans ögon. Det största.
Re: What are you listening to?
I have periods where I play a lot of Laleh's music. YouTube and Spotify and even her own website have helped with that. I've been a fan of the tunes she's released this year, and so on.
Glad to see I'm not alone.
