Wow! What an incredible Recorder player she is! :o

And those bagpipes! Where did she get such a small set? I wonder if she had them specially made for the genre.

There are many kinds of bagpipes in Scotland, Ireland, and England. Spain and the Middle East have pipes. No pipes compare to the Highland great pipes, which can be used to make music, or for laments, or especially to lead troops into battle, where the eerie sound discourages enemies and emboldens soldiers to attack. Their distinctive three drones provide the characteristic silhouette.

A WWII story (which I read in Scotland at a war museum) recounts that in the North African theater, Montgomery ordered a suicidal diversion by the Argyll And Southerland Highlanders. When contacted by radio, the A & S force radioed back, "Piper killed. Situation desperate. Send six more tanks or another piper."

She plays many instruments, but I believe her main instrument is trumpet.

Here she is at the age of nine or so, playing trombone with her dad, mum, brother and sister:

Here she writes in a reply that her bagpipe is "French 14th century made by Alban Faust".
Alban Faust is a folk musician and instrument maker.
Here's his website [in Swedish, English and German]: https://www.albanfaust.se/en/the-instrumentmaker/

Update: I just learned that Gunhild Carling relocated to California in 2018 (to try her luck in the USA), so if you are American you might have a good chance to see her IRL.
Here's her calendar: https://www.gunhildcarling.net/calendar/

Nothing more relaxing than a bit of Classical Music.
