This is lovely. Yet, what a complicated looking instrument! I need to see where I can find such an thing.

Build your own! :)

Here's the Swedish nyckelharpist Åsa Jinder playing a couple of Swedish tunes:

[Edit...] Forgot to point out nyckelharpa is a traditional Swedish instrument.
Wow! And I thought I'd seen everything. What an amazing instrument. Great sound.
From Swedish to Irish folk music. Versatile too.
Sort of reminds me of a Hurdy-gurdy, but even more complex, if that's possible. I think it might be easier to learn to play the violin than this thing. :D

Needs a bellows to add accordian sound. And drones to add bagpipes.

Eric Sahlström, who was instrumental (!) in reviving the nyckelharpa, is seen here playing his composition "spelmansglädje":

Torsson!
Torsson started as a student band in 1976, and they are still performing regularly.
They are characterised by amateurish performances and rather odd lyrics.
This one, for instance, is called "blodomloppet" (the circulatory system) and is about (what else) the human circulatory system.
The singer Bo Åkerström, who writes most of the songs, is also a professor at Infection Medicine at Lund University.

Karolina Protsenko's version is far better than the original (IMO):

Original:

And yet another inspired by Pitbull:

This group, this song, this album were so loved and important to me ... so far far long ago. And now it has to remain a memory. And so many memories for me. I wore out every LP they ever made thru to the mid 90s. So many of their tracks are burned into my head. May I never lose them! Having this come up today on the rotation I was listening to took me back. So many memories.

On the opposite side of long-ago vids, here are two very new ones

Per Gessle has an impromptu acousic version of Walking On Air to share.
.

Laleh teams up with Darin for 'Vi Är På Riktigt'. I don't think I've ever seen her play anything up until this.

"Vi är på riktigt" = We are for real.

Laleh plays many instruments, although it appears (from YouTube videos) that she usually only sings at her public performances, sometimes with a guitar.

She used to play virtually all instruments in her first records, but I don't know if she still does that.

Here, at least, she plays the piano:
