The Pallbearer’s Club by Paul Tremblay

I think LTROI fans might get a kick out of this… it’s about a loner who befriends a girl who he thinks is a vampire. It’s unclear if he’s right though; the book is written as a memoir and the girl has written notes in the margins disputing his claims and calling them bullshit. So there’s a bit of back and forth between the two narrators.

Imagine if Oskar wrote LTROI and Eli was like “I’m not a vampire, you’re full of shit” when she read it and you’ll get an idea of what to expect.
No banaaaanas?

I read well into this author's prior novel 'The Cabin at the End of the World'. Unfortunately I did not finish it, but it was a very engaging thriller. I think time ran out on the loan I had for it; something like that. He's a good writer. I'll see if I can find this.
