Re: Reviews
Interestingly I was at a 50's style hamburger restaurant North of Karlstad a few days ago and next to our table was a movie poster for The Man from Laramie starring James Stewart That was a coincidence, wasn't it? :-D I believe it wouldn't spoil Himmelstrand very much for our forum friends if we re...

Re: Reviews
Aside from this the story is about general human things - as long as one is familiar with the concept of caravan camping. I don't see lack of familiarity with caravan camping as a particularly severe obstacle. I've never camped that way myself, and I was able to read the book. :-D (I have done some...

Re: What kept you so long?
What if Karin and Stefan went to Barcelona and were infected by Oskar and Eli. They could be the "crazy old Swedish couple referenced in What Keep You So Long. Yes, of course. What might be interesting is what this tells us about Oskar and Eli. And how did S&K manage to find O&E? Well, of course I'...

Rörelsen nominated for the August prize
I just learnt that John Ajvide Lindqvist's latest novel Rörelsen has been nominated for the 2015 August prize.
Here is an interview with him about this (in Swedish, of course):

An interview with JAL about Rörelsen
Today I found this interview with JAL about his latest novel, Rörelsen. The interview was recorded at the Gothenburg Book Fair in September this year, and was uploaded shortly thereafter.

I found a review of John's new novel in my local paper today: http://www.sydsvenskan.se/kultur--nojen/det-som-hander-i-tvattstugan/ I won't translate it, you'll have to read it using Google Translate, except for the very last paragraph: Språket är sparsmakat och exakt och förstärker med små, små ski...

Re: New short story from JAL
Ok, so I have read it, too. Forgot about the release date, and didn't pre-order the book in time. And I didn't want the e-book version. I prefer paper books. Now, I got the impression that the infection in this vampire was different than in Eli or Virginia. But perhaps it just worked much more slowl...

Re: A short review.
Is this the same book? Yes. This weekend the Gothenburg Book Fair takes place. JAL appears several times in the programme, and I presume that article is based on what the journalist heard him say in one of those. I deliberately made my "review" very short and superficial, mostly because a longer on...

Re: A short review.
You are actually the first person to write a review of the book anywhere, so I must compliment you on your speed. This was unexpected - the first reviewer! And you noticing it was even more unexpected, and certainly a welcome bonus... I've translated that first sentence for the linguistically chall...
