Re: Vampire supernatural
A quick note before I move on with what I am going to say. Firstly, I am aware that waste is not primarily composed of toxins. Second, I agree that adding in an ethereal aspect is kind of silly, despite the supernatural aspects of the story. I was merely entertaining the idea that Eli, and other suc...

Re: Vampire supernatural
I thought blood is what fueled their body. They don't excrete any toxins as much as they do just vomit anything up that their body doesn't want. After they use up the blood for whatever reason their body needs, (Which they seem to burn in the form of energy. Transformations, healing, et) They then s...

Re: Vampire supernatural
After having read the book, I'd like to update several interesting things we learned about the vampiric condition. We learn that the heart grows a second brain that can take control after he first one supposedly dies, the exception being Hakan (to those of you who kept reading Harkan, I apologize) w...

Re: Let The Right One In book compare and review

Their purpose was to help tie the story to the real world, which it succeeded in doing. The transfer of mediums if definitely a difficult one to overc...

Re: Let The Right One In book compare and review
Ah, that would make sense. Some of the rock songs, which I'm sure are just translation errors too. Going through the story I did feel like it was possible that there were other things lost in translation that I may or may not have caught.

Let The Right One In book compare and review
John Ajvide Lindqvist's Let The Right One In (LTROI), is a masterfully told horror story with a writing style I found both very entertaining and intellectually cultivating. The various descriptions of everything really helped paint a picture in my head, more so than many other horror stories I've re...

Re: Better Actor: Lina or Kåre?
Kristen Stewart?! oh my goodness, you certainly do have your own opinion! :D ... ummmmm, will she ... sparkle? What? no. Sparkling is too mainstream. I was thinking she would secretly be a werewolf as well. In the day, she would turn into a vampire, and at night, a werewolf. She would also ...

Re: Better Actor: Lina or Kåre?
I personally don't like a lot of the stuff she is in.
