Re: Swedish Tic-Tac-Toe
Well, as an American, and being of the mistaken belief that they are playing American tic-tac-toe, one comes away with the impression that Dad must not be very bright if he is honestly losing. And it's not easy to see in the film what, exactly, they are putting on the paper, so... now I know! :) I ...

Re: An Analysis of Remake Hate
Wow. The analytical prowess of some of the members of this forum amazes me. It's also somewhat intimidating as someone who doesn't tend to analyze much of anything in media. (I prefer to just enjoy it. I've heard too many movie critics say that they can't enjoy a movie anymore because they can't tur...

Re: How did you discover LTROI?
I was looking through IMDB for some good interesting movies to watch, came across Let The Right One In, I added it to my watchlist. Then about a year later I came across Let Me In on IMDB, sounded like an interesting concept, so I saw it, and absolutely loved it. Saw it a few more times after than ...

Re: Colloquialisms
"you little potlicker" - reserved for when he was losing at backgammon or some other game. Sometimes I would also be referred to as "you little luck-sack." I may well be getting confused with another idiom, but I could swear I've heard "du kleiner Glückssack" before. That being a German translation...

Re: Last DVD/Movie you bought or watched?
Thanks for the warm welcome, intrige and Jameron! I'm excited to be here.
Now to watch some Cloverfield, cuz my brother turned it off when I laughed at a death in the movie and never let me finish it. Kids… I don't expect it to be as good as LMI (same director and stuff…), but I can hope.

Re: Last DVD/Movie you bought or watched?
My most recent movie purchase was buying both Let Me In and LTROI. I'm new, give me a break. I've watched them both about 10 times in the past three weeks, so LTROI is also the last movie I watched. LTROI is also the last book I read and its gotten me back into reading on a semi-regular basis.
