Re: Kåre Hedebrant Art Project
Well, I can understand he left the LTROI mindset behind a long time ago, and it's a bit bizarre to have such a strong display of affection for his role in it arrive unexpectedly four years after he finished LTROI. It doesn't mean he thinks the infected are crazy. :) It's a ten episode sci-fi drama, ...

Re: Legitimacy of Violence
I would only disagree on one minor point--Tommy did not beat Zombie Hakan to protect Eli. In fact, concerned about Tommy's welfare, Eli wound up unwittingly locking Tommy up in the same room with Hakan. Whoops. Another blunder. I probably should have re-read LTROI before posting. Aw, well, I'll re-...

Legitimacy of Violence
I'm crossposting a somewhat large blog post I made on how LTROI (mostly the film, partly the book) portrays violence: Let the Right One In is about violence. I mean, yeah, there's a whole vampire romance thing going on, but the main theme is about violence. The main character Oskar suffers violence ...

Elif Ceylan and Eli's Androgyny
I had a thought about Eli's coming across as more masculine or feminine at times. Maybe it's due to voice actor Elif Ceylan's acting more than Lina's. I believe I read Lina wasn't informed she was playing anything other than a girl (true?), and thus would be directed only to be more forceful and the...

Re: Foul Language Cleanup
A thought: Would "badass" be okay? It's a complimentary term that captures something "one cool dude" really can't (and "badbutt' sounds like something completely different).
