Re: Question about the Pool Scene.
Yes, I'd forgotten about that. He's realistically hypoxic, I think, but he doesn't gasp for breath like you'd expect. This is, in fact, the only thing I've always regarded as a blunder in the movie. I thought it was Kare flubbing his lines at the beginning of the movie. Okay but seriously, I think ...

Re: Eli's Angelic Counterpart
I have enjoyed William Bouguereau's artwork for years. I was browsing some of his art this evening and came across this one, "L'Amour Mouille" ("Wet Cupid"), which struck me as fitting of the description of Eli in LTROI. Thoughts? http://atributetoart.com/ufiles/wet_cupid_bouguereau_thumb.jpg I fin...

Re: Foul Language Cleanup
I am sorely disappointed with the moderators of this forum to which I hold dear to my heart. Although I haven't posted anything in ages I do, from time to time, peruse the fanfics, artwork and thought provoking discussions about a story which has restored my faith that love conquers all. But I regre...

Re: Utøya - shooting at teens
I share the sentiments with the other posters. This is such a tragic and senseless event and my heart goes out to the victims as well as their families and friends. Intrige, I'm sorry for your sense of loss and I know how you must be feeling. Even though you mentioned he was a casual acquaintance it...

Re: Explosion in Central Oslo
Drakkar and Intrige, I'm so relieved to hear you and your close ones are okay. It's sad what happened in Norway it's big news here in the States. I would never think such a thing could happen in your country. Stay safe and warm!

Re: Eli has to go away
It makes me wonder about the range of emotions Oskar was going through in that 3 minutes.
Fear as he follows Lacke, Concern for Eli's safety, Relief as Eli kills him, Panic and then Sadness as Eli says, "I got to go." Awesome artwork Intrige thanks for sharing.

Re: My Nightmare about Eli
I posted this in another thread but the only dream I ever had about LTROI was that Eli was tapping on my window while I was in bed asking to come in. I replied, "Nah I gotta get some sleep" and went back to sleep. After I woke up I felt like kicking myself the whole day. Well, Eli would hav nommed ...

Re: Similar stories
My vote for the most similar story goes to The Nutcracker. The 1993 film had Macaulay Caulkin in it.
Have to also mention Pan's Labyrinth.
