Re: Review of LTROI Play in Uppsala (here be spoilers)

I'm pretty sure that is Håkan. (I believe someone who saw the play has confirmed this somewhere around here.)

Re: Film Adaptation?

Of course, it is easier to create a convincing alien with this technology. Creating/manipulating a convincing human with it is a little more difficult, as we are so familiar with how other humans should look. In the last X-Men movie, they used similar techniques on Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen t...

Re: Film Adaptation?

Yes. In the latest picture I have seen, she looks much older. You mean, like this one? Eli at 15. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5084/5258807122_efe5b7597a.jpg This one seems to make her look older, to me anyway. http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/205098_205337549494342_135592133135551_...

A different movie interview ;) (still only in swedish)
Thanks for posting the link. It gives a much better idea of how the play looked and how the experience must have been.

Re: LTODD: The Loss of Innocence (Spoilers!)

Not read your story yet, but I agree that in a sense even 'Oskar at 40' is a better outcome. Not turning Oskar need not be that tragic either, there's also 'Love's Epitaph. ... But that's how it goes for everyone - either you break up or someone dies. Re-read it. I had forgotten how sad that one is...

Re: LTODD: The Loss of Innocence (Spoilers!)

I personally cannot stand the idea of things turning out like the events of "Oskar ar 40". I think unturned, this is exactly how things would have ended up. A miserable Oskar, a sad and confused Eli, and a relationship that is going down the tubes, soon to leave Eli alone again As hard as this is t...

Re: LTODD: The Loss of Innocence (Spoilers!)

Eli has also been deprived of the basic joys of life and devoid of happiness for 220 years. Technically, yes, she understands the difference between right and wrong on an intellectual level. I think, though, that the extraordinarily tragic life she has had to this point may have clouded her judgmen...

Re: LTODD: The Loss of Innocence (Spoilers!)

I, too, have mixed feelings about this. It seems that it is because of their innocence and young age that they can make a descision like this. Their world is that of a 12 year old. They know they love each other and they know that the only realistic way they can be together, without growing apart, i...

Re: Thoughts about Let The Old Dreams Die !!!SPOILERS!!!

It is easy to forget that we have a unique perspective on Eli, having been able to experience the private moments between her and Oskar. Most of the things that we think about when evaluating Eli's humanity tend to be centered around her relationship with Oskar. The outside viewer, as in LTODD, woul...
