My opinion about her saying she is not a girl is that she was concidering her self non-human. Vampire to be exact. As far as physical nature goes.. Im sure she understood she had a body of a girl.
She was just being honest yet not direct with the boy since they liked each other at that point.

When I first watched the original ltroi... i had a feeling that the older man elle lived with was her love. I guess it on this forum that I felt that he was not a father but a lover like elles neighbor young boy but grew old since elle doesnt age! Reason why I brought this back up was I just watched...

To the OP... I can't speak for the book since I did not read it. But the film... Eli is ... is a girl in my opinion and belief. Look at her... I assume if the director wanted to portray Eli as... a boy figure, the clothes... the movements... the appearence... it all screams "it's a girl!". I never k...

i actually liked the fact they did very good on capturing the small things and the whole scenery was calm
i wonder if its gonna be same setting or modern on the new one.

*Caretaker: I believe that he was one of many whom fell in love with Eli... I say many because Eli is timeless. She always has been a 12yr old. Maybe caretaker fell in love with her just like Oskar has... and aged with her. Notice how she saids "daddy" at the hospital. Its only one thing she can lab...

So wait... "Let me in" is a remake of LTROI? Hmm... Hopefully if anything, they keep Lina and oskar as main characters! Sorry if i seem bit out of place.. im fairly new to this whole thing.
