Re: That unnamed vampire woman... (Spoilers)

But this is from Eli's point of view. Eli, not being interested in her euthanasia suggestion and, frankly, frightened off by it, understandably does not write her name onto his BFF sheet. That's what I think. Is that Eli's opinion of her before or after she tried to kill him? :D I can accept the wo...

Re: That unnamed vampire woman... (Spoilers)

If you have pets in your life, you've probably had to deal with having one put down. No one likes making that decision, but it's the right thing to do if you know the animal's suffering and there's no hope for it. If you can't help the poor thing, you can at least put it out of its misery. Of course...

Re: About origin of LTROI movie posters

In the top poster, it looks like Lina's wearing the same pink shirt she wears in the basement scene. So, I'm guessing that picture was taken when they were filming the pool scene where she watches Oskar through the window. I once asked why the title of the film was designed the way it was, with the ...

Re: What are you listening to?

I ran across this dreamy little clip on an imageboard the other day and became kind of fascinated by it. It reminds me of LTROI because it's beautiful and disturbing at the same time. It's only a minute long. 2iYlMjpxTm4 This is the music used in the clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2HKPw6nnzk

Re: Little things noticed upon re-viewing

No jkwilliams, that is a "J cut". He is actually talking with his mother. That´s why she answerd him "Du måste vara försiktig" I agree with you that the voice you hear comes from the next scene. What I've never noticed before is that Oskar seems to be lip-syncing that same line in this scene too. I...

Re: Little things noticed upon re-viewing

This has probably been mentioned before but I've never noticed it. In the scene where Oskar is whipped by the bullies outside the school, you can hear him say the line, "Jag ramlade på rasten." after they run away. I always thought this was just dialogue from the following scene with his mother, but...

Re: Zombie Håkan

Her thin arms and legs appeared unnaturally long the way they grew out of her body: a young sapling covered with human skin. Between the legs she had ... nothing. No slit, no penis. Just a smooth surface. If the infection just resets the body back to the condition it was when it was turned, then El...

Does Elias Still Need Eli?

Most of us seem to think Eli looks and dresses the way he does because he doesn't really care what people think. Gender doesn't mean anything to him anymore and he's fine with who he is. (We're the ones who have a problem with it.) What if that's not true? ..."And then when I wake up I'm ......

Just a reminder that you can finally get the book here in the states now.
It's been such a long wait I'd completely forgot it went on sale last month.

Re: In which part we do find out about Eli?

Although the translator is still using the feminine third person for Eli, I will wager that the original Swedish text does not... They're written that way in the Swedish version too. Oskar has his suspicions but he still thinks of Eli as she . »Eli? Vill du göra en grej?« Hon tittade fortfarande up...
