Re: How did you discover LTROI?

I read some stuff about this film and saw a bad trailer. Here in Holland they acted like it was a kids film and it even won a kid award. So I didnt really have any intention of watching this. Not that much later I read a review in a newspaper and saw some photo's, thats when I decided it was time to...

Re: rubiks cube

I got one when I was a kid in the 80's and I broke it of course(I broke everything). When I saw the film I felt the urge to buy one again and I did. My solving time varies between 40 seconds and 2 minutes. I took pictures of the first few times I solved the thing. I also have a small rubiks cube ke...

Re: Starring Avril Lavigne as Eli...

Sometimes you wonder if some publishers even know what they are publishing.

Re: Things you didn't like about the book

There was a moment in the book that it focused so much on all the subplots that you would almost forget that Oskar was what it was all about.

Re: Did no one else dislike this film?

I loved everything about this film except the story. Im just not a fan of John le Carré work.
The acting in this film was amazing. Gary Oldman, give the bloke an oscar, or at least a nomination. Isnt it weird that he was never nominated for an oscar?

Re: Regret not seeing the film at a local arthouse theater

The marketing in the Netherlands(if there was any) was terrible for this film. They trailer and the short talks about it made it seem like a horror for kids, the dutch kids also voted this film the best of the year, so that made me think it was a kids film even more. Then I read an article in the pa...

Re: Eli at Her Most Endearing

My personal favourite- http://28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lu7otnYBOr1qkz07oo7_250.gif This one. As for a scene that stayed in the film, thats hard. The second rubiks cube scene, where she just sits there waiting for Oskar, she is very endearing, mostly because its the first time it was really inviti...
