Re: Double Feature

Way too campy though for a follow-up. It's just sooo standalone. Totally agreed! Its just one of those films that just leaves you somewhat dumbfounded and bemused, It's a lot to take in. For the first time In the million times I've watched it, I watched it a couple of months ago stoned... my god wa...

Re: Double Feature

The Rocky Horror Picture Show... Why you may ask? Because this is how the message ran: Science Fiction - "Double Feature". Haha, although I don't think it quite has the sensibility to play back to back with LTROI, it was just the first thing that came to mind when I saw "Double Feature". Maybe Heshe...

Re: Introduction thread

Hey Odin, welcome - nice to see someone else again close to home. A lot of my family comes from Ireland, heh I used to hitchhike a lot when I was younger - after I finished school I hitchhiked the country. :) Mm didgeridoo, I've been thinking of making one for a while; I made a new kōauau recently ...

Re: Little Great Ending [spoilers]

Thanks John. So great that you take the time for your fans. And thank you for all your work. You really know how to be unpredictable. I was reading equinox this afternoon and thought it was going to go some weird places that it didn't, considering things like zombie Harkan. But then that would have ...

Re: Introduction thread

Hi everyone, my name is Odin, and despite the name, I'm from Australia, and most of my heritage coming from Ireland. I enjoy buskin' and hoppin' into strangers cars(hitchhiking) and basically just cruisin'. Recently I've spent a lot of time in a Tibetan Buddhist community in the middle of the bush, ...

Re: Last DVD/Movie you bought or watched?

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/8c/Harry_Potter_and_the_Prisoner_of_Azkaban_poster.png “I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good.” Pretty sure that was the last Harry potter movie I watched before I just got sick of 'em and stuck to the books, can't remember it all to well though. Last DV...

LTROI Free Online English Subs

So for any of you English speakers(as a full version of without subs is already on YouTube) that don't have a copy of LTROI, it is currently airing on SBS on demand. SBS on demand is where I first saw LMI which lead me too LTROI. http://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/video/50431555752/Let-The-Right-One-In ...

Re: Eli or Abby

I always saw Eli as innocent, the only innocent person in the film really. The only person I think she uses is Hakan, and lets face it he's a Pedo anyway. Abby on the other hand... the whole ending of LMI just sucks, it doesn't leave room for imagination, and portrays Abby as just needing someone to...

Carmilla [SPOILERS]

So with all the talk of Le Fanu's "Carmilla" (Especially the constant reference to the bloodbath, which a lot of people seemed not to like... Hippies! ;) ) I thought it would be an idea to start a Carmilla thread for people to express there thoughts and feelings on the book(or movie's). So here I go...

Re: Styria

On the topic of Styria, I would like to bring up that Dracula (Carmilla also being a massive influence on Dracula, Le Fanu being Stokers editor for the Dublin evening mail), originally being based in Styria, but later changed to Transylvania. This is evident in Stokers draft entitled "Dracula's Gues...
