Re: Cops busting down doors
Is everyone gonna overlook the fact that when Lacke went into Eli's apartment, he went toward the bathroom and picked it before he checked to see if it was locked? LTROI made a lot of little errors like this.

Re: Let the Right One In vs. Let Me In
But but but they made an error when Oskar was being held underwater. Jimmy's hand didn't make sense. The prop hand was turned the other way, and then when Oskar was underwater for a minute he didn't seem like he was really running out of breath, you barely get aany sense of danger. Then Kare's bad ...

Re: Let the Right One In vs. Let Me In
So it's the familiarity that breeds the contempt? It didn't help. Would your level of enjoyment changed if the older version never existed. I don't know. What I liked in LTROI wasn't present in LMI so while my reaction may not have been as strong, I might have been "Eh, okay". I mean for example th...

By the way! I also prefer Let Me In, and I agree with most of what you wrote.

Re: Did anyone else like LMI better as a film?
The Swedish film's flaws do become apparent in which that you may not feel so attached to most of the characters other than Eli and Oskar if you did not read the book. Meanwhile, when watching LMI, I didn't have to read the book, I only had to watch and pay attention to care about the characters. G...

Re: The scene with Abby falling asleep on Owen's bed.
I saw it in the trailer, it must've been taken out and not seen as an important enough scene to be a deleted scene on the dvd I hope they release an extended version with all the deleted scenes in it, but it probably won't happen

Re: Abby's body language when no one is looking
I've been fascinated/appalled the way folks interpret Abby when Owen is not looking directly at her. In particular the way some see her as a "clever animal" even when that simply doesn't ring true. For example, when she's in Owen's bed, she doesn't watch him, doesn't see if he's "buying" her line. ...

Re: The Policeman vs Lacke
Virginia plays an important role in LTROI as a parallel to Eli, in showing the difference between an adult vampire and a child. We get glimpses of Virginias feelings through the process, ending with suicide as she cannot bear the consequences. In LMI Virginia is reduced to a mindless arm gnawing zo...

Re: The Policeman vs Lacke
I actually like that the policeman was used for that purpose. I thought that Let the Right One In was kind of out of focus. I like that all the side stories from Let The Right One In were taken out because it gave the movie more room to focus on Abby and Owen's relationship. I didn't care much for L...
