The Dawson Family PeteMork LTROI-Novel

As in my Epilogue, I feel more comfortable in a ‘real world’ scenario, rather than a supernatural one. I’m one of those naïve nerds who have complete faith in the ability of the Scientific Method and the resulting scientific advances to be a major factor in the solution of all of mankind’s problems. (I have sought therapy for this condition, to no avail) For the sake of continuity, JAL’s universe is interpreted by me as ‘reality;’ consequently, all of the phenomena he describes are accepted as such and will be fully explainable (eventually) by science.

Chapter Nine: "Are you happy?" moonvibe34 LTROI-Novel

These characters are not mine but the bad writing and poor storytelling are.

Oskar gripped the flat stone firmly, cocked his arm, then sent the stone soaring just above the wet surface of the pond. He watched with amazed satisfaction as the stone traveled nearly to the other side of the pond before hitting the water , skipping three times, then disappearing beneath the surface. Oskar looked on with pride from the result of his effort as a ripple of rings began to expand across the calm water from the splash of the stone.

Children of the Sun DMt. LTROI-Film

This is an attempt at a happy ending for Oskar and Eli, and perhaps for all of us, in the teeth of the mighty story arc that seems to imply tragedy for them both.

Oskar and Eli
Facing each other
Laid on their sides
Holding hands
Legs entangled,
Form a heart.

Dusk is indigo velvet over the Tyresta National Park as, deep within thorny undergrowth, in a hastily-deserted fox sett, two small, entangled figures in a military-issue double sleeping bag begin to stir. The sun is just sinking below the horizon, the dusk is long at this time of year. Eli wakes first, suddenly, and is instantly alert and flooded with impressions.

An Essay Regarding Love in Let the Right One In a_contemplative_life LTROI-Novel

This is a composite of my postings at the related thread. I hope to finish this essay as time permits, because it is not complete.

One of the aspects of JAL’s novel that I very much enjoyed was how he portrayed love’s development between Oskar and Eli. I thought it would be fun to pull together the passages, big and small, which showed how their relationship began and deepened, and its impact on both characters.

Fugitives and Exiles (alternative ending) lombano LTROI-Novel

This is an alternate ending of 'Fugitives and Exiles,' it diverges from the original (http://let-the-right-one-in.com/fancontent/ff/fugitives-and-exiles) after the sixth chapter of the original (http://let-the-right-one-in.com/fancontent/ff/vi-the-vision).

Never Again jellmoo LTROI-Film

This is my very first attempt at fan fiction, which was heavily inspired by reading many of the amazing pieces on this site. Just an FYI: This story tends to have a more female view of Eli, though it arguably does not matter, and tries to paint Oskar as somewhat more heroic, when push comes to shove.

Hi all,

This is meant to be nothing more than a light hearted attempt to have both Eli and Oskar voice some of their feelings and thoughts to themselves. It's meant to be simple, a little cheesy, and sweet.

Thanks for reading!
