The anonymous-looking man who was sitting in the room's single armchair lazily turned Oskar's Rubiks Cube.
- I know enough to end your cloudless little lives...and, by the way, I dont think I want too much. Fifty thousand will satisfy me.
Oskar gasped. Eli replied nervously:
- Then you know that I can end your own life so quickly, you wont even have time to scream?
- Im not a fool. If I am found dead, all the materials will be revealed to newspapers and police. And believe me, your life will then turn to hell.
- But this is unfair. You could get into an accident, hit by a car and so on.
He grinned like a shark.
- I am an honest blackmailer. Only violent death is meant.
Oskar shuddered at the combination of words - honest blackmailer.
Eli sighed.
- Why do you need money? Money is an illusion. It's only pieces of colored paper. Better to take this.
She passed him a small metal object.
- Whats this for? said he, confused.
She replied, with no hint of humour:
- This is a flashlight. You may illuminate with it the darkness of your life.
He frowned angrily. She came closer.
- Dont be mad. Dont be afraid. I will only kiss you, and pass you some of my memories.
While he hesitated over what to answer, she came right up and kissed him.
After a few seconds he shivered and then froze, staring lifelessly at the ceiling.
Oskar stared at them both, wide-eyed.
- What have you done to him!?
Her expression was passionless.
- I had a lot of pain, for two centuries. I showed all of it to him. In fifteen seconds.
Oskar said silently, still shocked:
- If I was a blackmailer, I would have bypassed your the tenth road.
Her answer was equally dispassionate;
- And you would be right. Otherwise, Id have kissed you to death.
