She came inside, did not bother to look at him. Hakan struggle with the melted boxes. The stuff inside was all wet.
Is she still angry with me?
She didn't even look at him, that's how it was when she fought with him, thought of him indifferently. He looked at the window, and the rain came pouring in not allowing him to see nothing except the waterfalls of water.
"In two days...." She told him as she went to her room as she with one hand slam the door.
So that's the way things are.
He didn't reply. There was no point. If he did, it would lead for him to fall for her games. And he would lose.
He looked at the boxes, his belongings. Three boxes, one with books, another one with clothes, the last with his kit design for his job, this boxes that filled his life.
The whole apartment was bare, not much to see. As if they were poor, and with all that money. Not even for a television, nor a radio. It was part of this life style, carry what's necessary, what's good to survive, he did. Outside the rain continue to pour, not caring about what happened inside. Hakan put the cardboard to cover the windows, at least that hadn't gotten that wet. He still heard the insistence of the rain, as if it wanted to make sure he knew its presence. But instead he imagined what was falling from the sky this night was a cold beer, or whiskey, he needed a drink so badly. But soon, soon he would. After he did his job, she would be angry but she would not be able to complaint if he got what she was after. He put his clothes to dry, took out some blankets, begin to seek for sleep, while outside it kept raining.
In two days, he knew what he had to do.
